The Four by 4 Linkage is Knolly's unique patented rear suspension system designed to increase all aspects of mountain bike performance. The Four by 4 Linkage is designed 100% in house at Knolly; it is not a generically licensed design that has been reworked for our bikes. No other high-end mountain bike frame manufacturer can claim this.
Typical suspension designs try to strike the best compromise between decent pedaling performance, technical handling and suspension feel. Knolly's patented Four by 4 Linkage achieves a balance far superior to conventional suspension designs: the dual four bar linkage isolates each performance trait, allowing our bikes to have fantastic pedaling performance while still maintaining excellent suspension feel. This translates into high efficiency when turning the cranks while maintaining the initial suppleness and great bottom out resistance that our bikes are famous for.
