Evolve

The Evolve, unlike many of the 29 inch mountain bikes, is a Ground Up design using Ellsworth's proprietary Instant Center Tracking Suspension technology. With a higher axle center and larger bottom bracket drop, the Evolve maintains Ellsworth's legendary suspension dynamic and overall handling. All geometry and suspension functions have been designed from the ground up to garnish the fast rolling, high stability of the 29 inch wheel, without the ill handling commonly associated with the 29 inch wheel bikes. The handling and suspension function on the Evolve is equivalent to the legendary handling and suspension function of the Epiphany or Truth, yet it's 29 inch wheels afford you the surefootedness of an XC Trail bike that will put new grins on your face, and will feel like an old friend at the start and finish of any ride. The Evolve, like previous Ellsworth Designs, raises the bar of 29 inch full suspension bikes. The Evolve's suspension functions are perfect, as you'd expect with any Ellsworth ICT suspension design, it rides and climbs like no other 29" in the industry.
- Ellsworth's proprietary ICT suspension technology dialed for 29 inch geometry
- 4 inches of rear travel with Fox's Float R or Float RP23 option
- Rock Shox Reba Race 29 inch fork (100mm)
- Quick, sharp handling due to a steeper head angle and shorter wheel base

Instant Center Tracking:
is internationally patented and quantifiably the most energy-efficient suspension design in the world. ICT tuned four-bar linkage design provides a true zero energy loss to suspension function by aligning the instant center on the chain torque line and continually tracking the chain torque throughout the range of travel. The rider's pedal energy will not ativate the suspension. This keeps the suspension fully active, and always on, increasing traction and control, and reducing rider fatigue. ICT suspension is internationally acclaimed and continues to set the bench mark for suspension performance.
Asymmetrical, Monocoque Chain stay:
Utilizing hollow void design techniques, Ellsworth has increased the durability, while reducing weight from the Chain stay. It’s a complicated piece to fabricate, but it provides reduced unsprung weight, increased stiffness and durability over machined yoke designs. Enjoy the details.

Sex Pins:
specially designed 12mm pins hold the main pivots of the Ellsworth Suspension bikes together, reducing the number of parts, and increasing stiffness and guaranteeing precise alignment.

SST Tubing:
Did you know that Ellsworth’s Proprietary tubing is still made right here in the USA, from certified, Drawn Seamless Aerospace grade Aluminum? Hand shaped in our facility in Vancouver, Washington, each model has a shape that is specific to the handling characteristics the frame was designed to possess.
Every Ellsworth Frame utilizes special design techniques that allow each tube to weld completely to its connecting tube and machined frame component. You’ll never see it, but it ads stiffness, durability, frame feel, and strength to every single Ellsworth Frame.
